Malediivien viimeiset päivät

Vielä viimeiset Malediivien kuvat käsittelyyn, eli torstai ja perjantai. Italialaisen ravintolan alta löytyi hauskan erilainen snorklausnäkymä:

And now the final photos of Thursday and Friday on the Maldives. This different kind of view was found under the Italian restaurant:

Yleensä reissuilla tulee aina joku hääpari vastaan (esim edellisessä kuussa näin) ja vaikken täältä odottanut sellaista löytöä, niin osuipa sentään yksi:

Usually, I've photographed some wedding couples on our trips (like this one in the previous month). Even though I didn't expect it this time I caught one again:

Keli oli melkeinpä liian kuuma golfaamiseen, mutta käytiin sentään kerran kokeilemassa alueen ilmaisminigolf-kierros. Oltiin ainoat, joten keskellä olevalle penkille pystyi hetkeksi istahtamaan varjoon ja vilkaisemaan näkymiä hieman erilaisesta näkökulmasta:

It was almost too hot for golfing but as the big miniature golf course was free we played a test round. We were the only ones there so it was easy to take a break on a bench in shade and check the view from a bit higher viewpoint:

Itään päin näkyy hotellin päärakennus ravintoloineen ja paljon vierailtu snorklauspaikka / satamasaari.

To the East, you can see the main building with the restaurant and the harbour island with snorkelling site.

Golf-kentällä näkyi myös siipiään minuuttikaupalla tuuletellut siivekäs.

On the golf course, there was this bird airing its wings. And it stayed several minutes in this same position.

Kotirannassa näkyi jotain erikoista, kuvan noin 30cm pitkä outo eliö. Tuo oli niin pohjan värinen, että onniteltiin itseämme, ettei tullut sen päälle istuttua. Kaikki vinkit eliön lajista kiinnostaa!?

Something weird was on the bottom at our home beach, it was about one foot (30cm) long. As its colour was almost the same as the bottom sand, we were lucky not to sit on it. All the tips of the species of this are welcome!?

Lähtöiltana taas samaan meille merkattuun pöytään.

On the evening of our departure, we had again the dinner at our marked table.

Viimeinen saarella ihailtu auringonlaskukin oli mukava. Ainakin kun zoomasi hiukan lähemmäs.

The last sunset of our trip was nice. At least when zoomed a bit.

Perjantaina aamulla ehdittiin vielä valashairetkelle, joka olikin tosi hyvä ostos. Nähtiin läheltä kahta eri valashaita ja delfiinejä. Tein tuosta oman videonsa, joka löytyy täältä (myös blogimerkintä tuolla aiemmin).

On Friday morning we had time for a Whale Shark trip which was great! We saw close by two Whale Sharks and some dolphins. I created a video about that trip, you can see it here (there's also a post about it in this blog).

Viimeisenäkin päivänä käytiin vielä lounaan jälkeen snorklaamassa ja nyt näkyikin aika hurja ilmestys. Olin poistumassa vedestä viimeistä kertaa ja huomasin portaiden alta lähtevän mureenan! Yleensä näistä varoitellaan sukeltaessa ärhäköinä reviirinsä puolustajina ja nyt sellainen oli suoraan ihmisten veteen räpistelyreitillä. Onneksi kukaan ei saanut puremaa.

On the last day after lunch, we did again some snorkelling and I saw a bit alarming visitor. I was just about to get out when I noticed a moray leaving its hide below the stairs! Always while scuba diving there's a warning to stay away from these guys as they can bite easily those coming too close. And now it was just where people were floundering to the sea. Fortunately, nobody was bitten.
