Alkuviikosta maanantailta ei ole paljoa kuvia, kun makasin sängyssä kuumeessa ja oksensin. Tiistaina lähdettiin kohti Suomea ja näkyi viimeinen häivähdys Kanariaa. Matkalla pelästytin vieruskaverin oksentamalla oikein kunnolla. 

At the beginning of the week I didn't photograph much as on Monday I had a fever and threw up. On Tuesday morning we had a flight home and saw the last views from the Canary Islands. During the flight I scared my neighbour by throwing up big time.

Vaasaan laskeutuessa oli vähän lumisempaa.

Keskiviikkona ja torstaina otettiin pitkästä aikaa kunnon peli. Lost Ruins of Arnak on kyllä hyvä peli, vaikka onkin niitä, jotka näytän häviävän useinmiten.

On Wednesday and Thursday we had a bigger game for a change. Lost Ruins of Arnak is a really good game, even though it seems that I mostly lose.

Lauantaina osuin torille juuri kun Krista Sigfrids ja Mark Levengood esiintyivät. Ne kuvat vain olivat aika huonoja kun piti zoomata.

On Saturday I happened to be at the market square during the Christmas opening show.

Sunnuntaina Botniahallin jälkeen menin torille Mariannen ja Artturin seuraksi. Tässä Artturi sai halin isolta siniseltä kissalta. 

On Sunday after a visit to the Sports hall I joined my daughter Marianne and her son to market square. Here Artturi gets a hug from a big blue cat.

Aarnen esityksen jälkeen jonotettiin halaus ja Artturi sai vielä läpsäyttää yhden esiintyjän kanssa. 

After Aarne's show Artturi queued a hug and here he also got a high-five from one of the band members.

Tuon jälkeen Artturin kämmeneltä sai syödä makupalan lampaat. 

Then he got to feed lambs.

Myös alpakkaa oli näytillä. 

There were also two alpacas.

Sunnuntaina tuli kokeiltua yhtä nähtyä temppua ja niin sai kello tosiaan sykkeen banaanista. Tuo tosin on jo vanha ihmettely ja selitettykin.

I had to test myself on something I saw somewhere: my Apple Watch really finds a pulse from a banana. Although, it seems to be old, already explained news.

Viikon kuva - Kanarialla

Viikon kuvana ryhmäkuva perjantailta synttäri-illalliselta Puerto Ricossa. Kaksi jäi tuonne piiloon, mutta muuten kaikki näkyvissä.

The photo of the week is a group shot from Katarina's birthday dinner in Puerto Rico. Two of us on the left behind didn't see the camera.

Lähtöpäivänä tiistaina tuli tieto, että lento myöhästyy 2,5h joten ehdittiin tehdä vielä kävelykierros puutaloalueella.

On Monday we got informed that the flight was delayed for 2,5 hrs so we had time to walk around the Sulva wooden house area.

Perillä vasta puolen yön jälkeen, mutta onneksi 13 hengelle tilattu auto oli paikalla.

We got to the Canary Islands after midnight but fortunately, the ordered taxi for 13 people was there.

Keskiviikkona lähdettiin kävelylle alueelle.

On Wednesday we walked around the area.

Tuossa laaksossa eniten tilaa vei golfkenttä. 

The golf course took a lot of space in that valley.

Käytiin Hannun ja Ingerin kanssa lounaalla huvilan omistajan ravintolassa. 

We had lunch with Hannu and Inger at the restaurant owned by our villa's renter.

Ostarilla jo joulutunnelmaa. 

The mall already had Holiday decorations.

Torstaiaamuna herättiin ennen auringonnousua ja lähdettiin katsomaan auringonnousua huvilan vierestä lähtevää polkua pitkin. Ei päästy tarpeeksi ylös, mutta näkymät saatiin. Tuossa oikealla valkoisissa rakennuksissa Katarinan varaama huvila. 

On Thursday morning we woke up before the sunrise and walked up the hill to see the sun. We didn't get high enough but got a nice view anyway. The Villa Katarina booked for us is among the white buildings on the right.

Näköalapaikalla tuli kohdalle norjalaiset Bente ja Margareth, jotka suostuivat mun 100 tuntematonta sarjaan. Asuvat täällä osan vuotta.

There we also met Bente and Margareth from Norway and I asked if they could participate in my 100 strangers series. They are living here part of the year.

Playa de Tauron kovat aallot. Onneksi seuraavana päivänä ei ollut ihan yhtä tuulista.

Strong waves at Tauro beach. Fortunately, the next day wasn't as windy.

Käytiin rannalla Ingerin ja Noellen kanssa. Jälkimmäinen vähän alempana istumassa rattaissaan.

We visited that beach with Inger and Noelle. The latter is here sitting in her baby buggy.

Huvilassa riitti tilaa koko 13 hlön tarpeisiin. Neljä kerrosta, palju katolla, pelihuone alimmassa kerroksessa ja mukava uima-allas.

The villa had enough room for all 13 of us. Four floors, a jacuzzi at the top floor, games room in the cellar and a nice pool.

Perjantaina kävin tekemässä sukelluskerrat 83 ja 84. 

On Friday I did my scuba dives number 83 and 84.

Sukellusmestari teki pienen näytöksen viimeisen sukelluksen lopussa viiden metrin syvyydessä paineen tasaustauolla.

The dive master did a final show for us while we were doing the pressure equalization at five meters on the latter dive.

Perjantaina illalliselle mennessä harkittiin jos VIP Pizzeriaa.

On Friday we briefly considered VIP Pizzeria. 

Lauantaina käytiin taksilla Puerto Moganissa. Reissu jäi lyhyeksi lasten sairastelun takia, mutta itse ehdin kurkata vähän paikkoja.

On Saturday we took a taxi to Puerto Mogan. We returned quite soon due to kids getting more sick but I had a bit of time to walk around.

Sunnuntain Amadores-rannalle kävelyn jälkeen mekin käytiin vihdoin testaamassa neljännen kerroksen palju.

On Sunday we walked to Amadores beach after which we did our only visit to the jacuzzi on the fourth floor.

Pelit pääsi pöydälle muutaman kerran. Sunnuntaina illalla otettiin Keltis ja Deep Sea Adventure. Mukana Felicia ja Roy, jotka jäi pois illallisen ryhmäkuvasta.

We got a few boardgames on the table. On Sunday rounds of Keltis and Deep Sea Adventure. Here are Felicia and Roy who were not shown on the dinner photo.

Draamaakin riitti: lentokoneessa menomatkalla oksentanut antoi porukkaan tautinsa ja yhdeksän meistä oksensi lomaviikon aikana. 😬 Minä ja kolme muuta vasta maanantaina ja itse vielä kerran tiistaina lentokoneessa. Reissun pienimmälle tauti oli niin rankka, että oli kaksi päivää tiputuksessa Vaasan sairaalassa. 🥺 Nyt onneksi kuntonsa on taas palautunut. ❤️

Not all went fine though: somebody had a stomach flu on the airplane on our flight there and we got it. During the week nine of us got sick. 😬 Me and three others on the last day Monday and I threw up once more during Tuesday's flight. The sickness was so tough for the smallest traveller that she spent two days on a drip in Vaasa hospital. 🥺 But she's fine now! ❤️

Andorra

Viimeisenä Barcelonan päivänä lähdettiin katsomaan Andorraa. Alunperin suunnitelma oli tehdä kierros vuokra-autolla, mutta tarkemmin ajatellen bussiliput olivat helpommat.

Omissa laskuissani tuosta tuli 71. vierailtu maa. YK-maapohjaisessa laskennassa ei noteerata Vatikaania, Taiwania yms., joten YK-maiden laskurini on 67. Matkailijoiden klubin TCC-lukuni on 83 (Tarjalla vastaavat 77, YK: 71, TCC: 89).

On the last day of our journey we did a day trip from Barcelona to Andorra. Originally the plan was to use a rental car, but after consideration, bus tickets were the easiest option.

In my own records this was my 71st visited country. Some count only UN countries which doesn't consider for example Taiwan or Vatican, so my UN country counter is 67. Traveller's club TCC-number is 83 (Tarja's numbers are 77, UN: 71 and TCC: 89).

Tuolloin oli Pyhän Yrjön päivä, eli Ruusun ja Kirjan päivä. Heti bussiasemalta lähdettyämme muutamakin nuori kävi tarjoamassa ruusuja ostettavaksi.

That day was St. George's day or Rose and Book day. Right after we left the bus station there were a couple of youngsters selling us roses.

Paikallisessa tapahtumassa kierteli keskellä oleva pariskunta ja kintereillä oli monta valokuvaajaa ja televisiokamerat. Kuulemma joku poliitikko, ei vain selvinnyt, että kumpi heistä.

In the local Rose and Book day event the couple in the middle went through the area shaking hands with book sellers. A lot of photographers and a TV-camera followed them. A politician, we just didn't find out which one of them.

Before our return to the bus station I took some scenery photos from a peaceful corner with the drone:

Paluumatkalla edessä näkyi hienosti Montseratin luostarin alueen terävät vuorenhuiput.

On our way back the sharp peaks of mountains surrounding Montserrat monastery were nicely visible.

Sagrada Familia

Pikapostaus pääsiäisen reissulta Barcelonaan ja sieltä erikoiskirkosta. Edellisellä vierailulla elokuussa 2000 käytiin katsomassa kirkkoa vain ulkopuolelta, mutta nyt mentiin sisälle asti. Liput sai onneksi varattua etukäteen tietylle tunnille ja koska meillä oli kahden päivän turistibussi-lippu, oli kätevä aloittaa ajelu kirkon vierestä.

A quick post about our Easter trip to Barcelona and its special church. Our previous visit to the city was in August 2000 and then we just looked it from outside, but this time we also visited the interiors. Tickets can be reserved to a certain hour, which was handy for us as the tourist bus stop was there too. That way we could start our two-day bus tickets there.

Meillä oli kävelyä majapaikasta noin kilometri tänne, joten ei tarvinnut ottaa aamua stressaten. Kirkko sisältä oli kyllä vaikuttava! 

It was only about one kilometre from our accommodation, so we could take it slow and walk there. The church was quite impressive!

Pylväiden on tarkoitus muistuttaa metsää ja se tosiaan näkyi. Erilaisia yksityiskohtia riitti ihailtavaksi.

Ulkopuolen pienoismallista näkee miten paljon tuota on vielä tarkoitus rakentaa. Kirkon on suunniteltu olevan valmis 2026.

The columns are supposed to resemble forest and it really showed. There were a lot of details to be studied.

The model outside showed how much more they are planning to build. It's supposed to be ready in 2026.
