Pari viikkoa kuvina

Viikon 26 kuvana on vaihteeksi ilmakuvaa, kaupungista on Wärtsilältä jo purettu kaksi rakennusta. Valkoinen ykköstehdas on suojeltu kohde, sinne itse menin töihin ekan kerran kesäkuussa -87. 

The photo of week 26 is an aerial view of Wärtsilä's former factory area as two buildings have been demolished. The white building is about 100+ years old and protected. I started there for the first time in June -87.

Viikon 27 kuva onkin tuore, nyt sunnuntailta, kun näin taas pitkästä aikaa lapsenlapsia. Anni ja Artturi tykkäs kovaa kuplamuovin napsuttelusta.

The photo of week 27 is a recent one, shot two days ago on Sunday as I visited my grandkids. Anni and Artturi liked a lot of bubble wrap.

Toissa viikon maanantaina kävin hakemassa Sky Team pelin ja kurkkasin samalla War games clubin tiloihin. Komeat pienoismallit hyllyissä.

On Monday two weeks ago I went to pick up the Sky Team game and got to take a peek at the War games club. Guys there had cool miniatures.

Perjantaina kävin kävelemässä ja neljä kaverusta istuskeli suunnittelemassa päivää.

On Friday's walk I noticed these four mates planning their day.

Tuon jälkeen kävin Ristinummella, jossa katsottiin tämän kesän jättibalsamin kitkemistalkoiden aluetta. Tämä pätkä on ainakin sama kuin viimeksi.

After that I had a date to check out the area for our this year's volunteer work to remove Himalayan balsam. This area was the same as last year.

Perjantaina käytiin vielä päivän lopuksi ennen Bergöön ajamista tekemässä sunnuntain rippijuhlille luvattuja voileipäkakkuja.

On Friday evening we did the sandwich-cakes before driving to Bergö. These were for Sunday's party.

Kokeiltiin maanantain pelihankintaa, eli Sky Teamia. Tuo on yhteistyöpeli, jossa pitää laskeutua onnistuneesti erilaisille kentille. Toisaalta ihan ok, mutta ei iskenyt meille, joten meni myyntikasaan.

The new game of the weekend was Sky Team. It's a co-operative game where you need to land successfully to different airports. It's nice and thematic but didn't feel like our game so it went to my for-trade pile.

Sunnuntaina oli sitten Katarinan vanhimman lapsenlapsen Colinin rippijuhla. 

On Sunday Katarina's oldest grandchild Colin had his confirmation ceremony.

Iltapäivällä oli sitten sukua kylässä, meidän tekemät voileipäkakutkin teki kauppansa. 

Then that afternoon there were relatives visiting and our sandwich-cakes got a good reception.

Viime viikolla oli niinkin lämpimä päivä, että uimarannalla näkyi porukkaa.

We had one such a warm day that there were people at the swimming beach. 

Perjantaina käytiin hakemassa lisää lautaa terassinkaideprojektia varten.

On Friday we picked more timber for the cottage terrace fence project.

Sen jälkeen lounas Hejmissä.

Then lunch at Hejm.

Ajettiin Bergöön ja kerrankin osui kohdalle paikalliset markkinat. Sain kaikki myyntipöydät kuvaan yhdellä kertaa! 

We drove to Bergö and could check out the local market for once. I could fit all the sales tables to one picture!

Mökillä vietettiin vapaata, saunottiin (merivesi sentään 19C!), testattiin Coffee Rush-peliä ja viimeisteltiin eka pätkä terassin kaidetta.

At the cottage we had free time, sauna (sea water was 19C / 66F which was quite warm). We tested the Coffee Rush board game and finalised the first part of the terrace fence.

Olin sunnuntain Vaasassa, aamupäivällä vähän urheilua. Juoksemaan lähtiessä nappasin naapuritalon kuvan, iltapäivällä ja illasta sitten lapsenlapsia katsomaan.

I spent Sunday in Vaasa and did some sports in the morning. On my way to jog I took this pic of the neighboring building. Then in the afternoon until evening I went to spend time with grandkids.

San Marino

Italian matkalta on vielä monta kuvaa julkaistavana. Koska norsu on helpointa syödä pala kerrallaan, niin aloitetaanpa San Marinosta. Aloituskuva on tulopäivän iltakävelyltä, ja kuuluisin osa, eli huipun linnoitukset näkyivät hienosti. 

There's a lot of photos to be published from our trip to Italy, so the easiest thing is to just start and handle San Marino first. This view is from the walk on our arrival day. The hill and its three tower castles are probably the most famous sight in the country.

Saapumispäivä aloitettiin autovuokraamoon pääsemisellä ja sen jälkeen posotettiin nopeinta tietä 377 km ekalle hotellille.

After getting our rental car we headed to the highway and just drove directly (377 km / 234 mi) to our first hotel.

Maksettiin onneksi 15€ lisää, että saatiin näkymä 'meren' puolelle. Näkyihän se päiväsaikaan hämärästi tuolla kaukaisuudessa.

Fortunately, we paid 15 € more to get a 'sea view' room. The sea was visible during the day time there in the distance.

Hotelliaamupalat Italiassa ovat makeita pullia, koristeet sentään oli hienot.

The Italian breakfast is just sweet puns etc. but at least the decoration was nice.

Lähdettiin gondolikyydillä ylös vanhaan kaupunkiin. 

We took a gondola trip up to the old town.

Nousu aikana jo hienot näkymät.

Pyhän Marinuksen basilika oli ensimmäisiä vastaan tulleita nähtävyyksiä.

Basilica di San Marino was about the first sight we encountered.

Meidän hotelli oli tuon liikenneympyrän takana olevan talon vasemmalla puolella.

Our hotel was to the left from that building behind the roundabout.

Linnoissa oli aina useampi huone museopuoltakin.

The castles had several rooms as museum exhibits.

Otin kuvan yhdestä pariskunnasta, joten vastavuoroisesti saatiin kuva meistä. 

We got our pic taken after I helped another couple to get their photo on the same bench.

Kakkostornin huipulta näkymä kohti kolmatta tornia, joka jätettiin välistä.

Vanhan kaupungin kujilla riitti kauppoja, joista ostettiin parit matkamuistot. Ei kuitenkaan hattua. 

There was a good choice of shopping in the old town and we bought some souvenirs. No hats though.
