Autoreissu 2026 osa1

Viikon 25 kuvana on Ahvenanmaalta juhannussalon pystytys. Näitä on kyllä nähnyt pystyssä, mutta nyt oltiin mukana rakentamassa tuota ja lopuksi seurattiin tämä kohotus.

The photo for week 25 is from Ahvenanmaa as one of the Midsummer poles got erected. I've seen those before but now we participated in preparing it and saw how it was raised.

Tämä autoreissu aloitettiin sunnuntaina ja eka kohde oli Vöyrillä Ehrsin puisto. Jännä paikka. 

The road trip started on Sunday and the first stop was after 30 minutes from Vaasa in Ehrs park. A cool place.

Tuon oli perustanut 80-luvulla Ernst Ehrs, joka oli kiinnostunut taiteesta ja kreikkalaisesta mytologiasta.

It was created by Ernst Ehrs in the 80's. He was interested in art and Greek mythology.

Mies kuoli -94 ja sen jälkeen paikka ollut hoitamatta.

He died in -94 and the place has been there ever since without his family taking care of it.

Suunnitelmaa ylläpitoon kuulemma on, tosin en tiedä miten kauan tuo infotaulu jo on ollut. Käytiin tuolla kuusi vuotta sitten ja niissä kuvissa ei näkynyt taulua.

There's a mention of plans to do maintenance but I don't know how long that info sign has been there. We visited there six years ago and in those pics I didn't see that info sign.

Tuolta ajettiin kurkkaamaan Hunurijärvelle, jota oli kehuttu hienoksi paikaksi. Ja olihan se.

Then we drove to Hunuri lake as I heard that it's a nice place. And it was.

Sunnuntain kolmas kohde oli Ilveskivi Pedersören puolella. Tuo 16 metriä korkea siirtolohkare on kuulemma Suomen suurin.

The third stop for Sunday was Ilveskivi (='Eurasian Lynx rock'). It's 16 meters high (52 ft) and it's said to be the biggest rock in Finland.

Ekaksi yöksi ajettiin Lappajärven rantaan, syötiin, mä kertailin Antinomyn sääntöjä ja sitten otettiin erä sitä.

The first night we spent by Lappajärvi lake. We ate and played a round of Antinomy. Here I am refreshing the rules.

Aamupala järven auringonpaisteessa rannalla on aina mukavaa.

Breakfast at a sunny lakeside is always nice.

Seuraava pysähdys oli Karstulassa Kirkkovuoren näkötornilla.

The next stop was a sightseeing tower in Karstula.

Tuossa Pääjärven takana näkyvä uimaranta olikin meidän lounas- ja pulahduspaikka.

The beach behind the lake was our next stop for lunch and swimming.

Vesi oli just hyvän raikasta.

The water was just nicely refreshing.

Palautettiin samalla yks osa Jyväskylän viereen Vaajakoskelle ja vastaanottajaa (turhaan) odotellessa vedettiin Hive-erä.

We returned a part to a company in Jyväskylä and while waiting (in vain) for the receiver guy we took a round of Hive.

Ja toinen yö Jämsässä Vaherin satamassa.

And the second night in a harbour.

Aamulla jatkettiin matkaa kohti Joksalaa ja matkallakin näkyi erikoista kuvattavaa.

The next day we continued driving southward and saw some interesting roadside decorations.

Tuosta Joksalasta oli juttu keväällä Ylellä ja sopi just hyvin meidän suunniteltuun rinkiin. Eläköitynyt taistelulentäjä oli varautunut kolmanteen maailmansotaan salaisin bunkkerein.

There was an interesting article about this place. A retired army pilot had secret bunkers, tunnels etc. to his property as preparation for the third world war.

Tästä mentiin julkiseen osaan, jossa oli sauna ja vilvoitteluhuone. Tuo oli ainoa paikka, johon kyläläiset pääsivät.

Here's the entrance to his sauna and cooling room which was the only allowed place for visiting neighbours. 

Siellä oli salaovia, joiden takaa löytyi varastoja ja halleja. Tuo peräseinänkin ovi oli alunperin rappauksen alla, vaikka tämäkin huone oli piilotettu.

There were hidden doors to secret tunnels and bunkers. Even though this hall was secret, that door back there was originally hidden behind a plaster layer.

Vasempaan nurkkaan mies oli tehnyt itselleen kuolinvuoteen ja tuossa keskellä oli kaivo.

At the left corner was his death bed and there's a well in the middle.

Ja kaikki rakennelmat aika lailla käyttämättömiä. Tämä oli tehty kaadetun hirven suolistamista varten, katossa koukku ja vieressä savustamiseen.

And all the structures were pretty much unused. This was for handling shot moose. A hanging hook in the ceiling and next room was for smoking. 

Tontin läpi menevän puron oli padonnut lammeksi kaloja varten ja oli tuonut Tukholmasta jotain etanoita alueelle syötäväksi kasvamaan.

A creek through the property was dammed up so that there would be fish to eat. And he had brought big snails there to grow as food. 

Metsässä oli neljäs rakentamansa sauna tuolla tornin huipulla. Sieltä oli näköalaikkunat toiselle puolelle.

The fourth sauna was in the forest where he had built it in a tower. There are bigger windows on the other side.

Metsään oli istuttanut ruusupuskia ja ripustanut paljon linnunpönttöjä.

He had also planted roses in the forest and several birdhouses.

Illaksi ajettiin Forssan viereen Tammelaan Saaren kansanpuistoon. Tuo Suujärvi käveltiin ympäri seuraavana aamuna. 

For the next night we drove to a public park and found a good place near the lake. The next morning we walked around that lake. 

Muutaman sadan metrin päässä oli Kaukolanharjun näkötorni. Suljettu tietysti.

We also checked out a viewing tower located a few hundred meters from there. Closed naturally.
